The Minnesota Wild made official what has been suspected for some time, assigning defenceman Matt Dumba to Team Canada's World Juniors team.

The move was expected as Dumba was included on Team Canada's Selection Camp roster for the tournament.

Selection camp starts Thursday before the team heads to Sweden the week after.

In 13 games with the Wild this season Dumba has one goal and two points with a minus-5 rating.
