Red Wings recall C Emmerton from Grand Rapids of AHL

DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings have recalled centre Cory Emmerton from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

The 25-year-old Emmerton has appeared in 43 games with the Griffins this season, scoring 14 goals with 21 assists. He has two assists in 11 games for the Red Wings.

Emmerton has played in 132 NHL games since 2010-11, scoring 12 goals with nine assists.

The Red Wings play at Columbus on Tuesday night and host Edmonton on Friday.
