The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Brandon Kozun to a one-year contract on Friday.

The deal was announced by general manager David Nonis.

The Maple Leafs acquired the 24-year-old from the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 22, 2014 in exchange for Andrew Crezcenzi. Kozun scored 17 goals and added 29 assists for 46 points over 75 games in the American Hockey League in 2013-2014.

Kozun has 86 goals and 110 assists for 196 points in 296 career AHL games. He has yet to play in the NHL.

The Los Angeles native was selected by the Kings in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
