Capitals sign Latta to two-year, $1.5M deal

The Washington Capitals have re-signed centre Michael Latta to a two-year, $1.15 million contract.

Latta, 23, scored one goal, three assists and 12 penalty minutes in 17 games with Washington during the 2013-14 season.

The Kitchener, Ont., native was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
