Paul Ranger is taking his game to Switzerland, agreeing to a two-year deal with Geneve-Servette HC.
The 29-year-old unrestricted free agent played 53 games on the Toronto Maple Leafs' blue line last season, scoring six goals and eight assists through 53 games.
He also scored eight goals and 17 assists in 51 games with the AHL Marlies in the 2012-13 season.
The Whitby, ON, native was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round (183rd overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He played five seasons with the Lightning, scoring 18 goals and 74 assists in 270 games.
