The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Daniel Winnik to a one-year contract on Monday.
According to ESPN's Craig Custance, the deal is worth $1.3 million.
The 29-year-old scored six goals and added 24 assists with a plus-6 rating over 76 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks. He added one assist in nine playoff games.
He is coming off a two-year contract worth an average annual value of $1.8 million.
Winnik has 49 goals and 101 assists in 490 career games with the Ducks, San Jose Sharks, Colorado Avalanche and Phoenix Coyotes.
The Toronto native was selected by Phoenix in the ninth round (265th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
