It was a good news, bad news day for goaltender Roberto Luongo.

On the same day that the Vancouver Canucks named him team captain, Luongo suffered a minor groin injury during practice.

Luongo suffered the injury after colliding with forward Jannik Hansen.

As a precaution, the club will keep him out of tomorrow's game against the Flames.

The game can be seen live on TSN Wednesday at 10pm et/7pm pt.
