The New York Islanders will be without goaltender Rick DiPietro for 4-6 weeks after knee surgery.

The 27-year-old had arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus issue, the team announced on Saturday.

DiPietro has not played since October 25th against the Hurricanes. He started the game but was replaced by Joey MacDonald to start the second period.

He is 0-2-0 with a 3.91 GAA and .833 save percentage over his three games this season.
