The Montreal Canadiens called up winger Benoit Pouliot from Hamilton of the Amercian Hockey League on Monday.

Pouliot was acquired from the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 23 for power forward Guillaume Latendresse.

Pouliot, 23, had two goals and two assists in 14 games with the Wild this season. In 65 career NHL games, the fourth selection in the 2005 draft has nine goals and nine assists.

Pouliot will not play with the Canadiens tonight, as it would have marked his fourth game in four days.
