Saturday's Senators/Canadiens matchup was potentially a very costly affair for both teams, with Sens forward Nick Foligno and Habs forward Mike Cammalleri both lost to injury.
Ottawa won the game 3-2 and notched a team-record ninth straight victory, but Foligno broke his leg and will reportedly be out for 6-8 weeks.
That happened just over a minute after Cammalleri had injured his right knee as the result of a collision with Anthon Volchenkov with seven minutes to go. The Canadiens forward is to have an MRI on Monday.
Foligno has eight goals and 15 assists in 47 games with the Sens, who will look to win their tenth straight game when they take on the Sabres on Wednesday.
Cammalleri, meanwhile, has been solid for the Canadiens after being acquired in the off-season, putting up 26 goals and 21 assists in 55 games.
