Canadiens ink Cornell's Brendon Nash to a two-year contract

The Montreal Canadiens signed free agent defenseman Brendon Nash to a two-year contract on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old played with Cornell University in the NCAA. He had two goals and 17 assists over 33 games this past season and had 67 points (8 goals, 59 assists) over his four years at Cornell.

Nash is a native of Kamloops, BC.
