NEW YORK -- Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was named NHL first star of the week Monday after winning three straight games last week.

Price had one shutout and posted a 1.00 goals-against average and .970 save percentage over the stretch.

Pittsburgh Penguins centre Sidney Crosby was named second star and Washington Capitals left-winger Alexander Semin took the third star.
