NEW YORK -- Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby is the NHL's first star of the week after extending his points streak to 15 games.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller and Edmonton Oilers rookie Taylor Hall earned second and third star honours.

Crosby led all players in goals and points last week with five goals and one assist in three games.

Miller stopped all 51 shots he faced in posting back-to-back shutouts as the Sabres improved to 11-13-3 overall.

Hall recorded four goals in as many games last week, sparking the Oilers to a three-game road sweep in Eastern Canada and a season-long four-game winning streak.
