Blackhawks' Toews ruled out for tonight's game vs. Red Wings

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings due to an upper-body injury.

Toews, who is listed as day-to-day, has 29 goals and 28 assists in 59 games this season.

Brendan Morrison will play in Toews' place.

Chicago also announced that defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson (upper body) will miss Tuesday's game.
