Regardless of how the Philadelphia Flyers do in the playoffs, star forward Jaromir Jagr expects to play next season.

Fielding questions about his future following Wednesday's morning skate, the 40-year-old Jagr re-affirmed his desire to play next season but remained focused on the playoffs.

"I want to play because I love the game and I believe no matter how old you are you still can learn as long as you love the game and as long as you are willing to work hard," Jagr said. "You can learn even when you turn 50. It doesn't matter what kind of job you have, you always can learn if you're willing to do it.

"I know I'm going to play. I don't know where I'm going to play, but it doesn't matter because I love the game. I'm here right now and I just want to get ready for the playoffs. Whatever happens after happens."

Jagr signed a one-year deal, $3.3 million deal with the Flyers after three seasons in the KHL. The league's No. 1 all-time European-born scorer had 19 goals and 35 assists in 73 games this seasons.
