It's something you definitely don't see every day - a team suspending two of its own players.

But for it to happen during the playoffs - with the team in question down 2-0 in a series - is practically unheard of.

The Nashville Predators announced on Tuesday that forwards Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn had been suspended by the club for Game 3 of their series against Phoenix for violating team rules.

Do you agree with Nashville's decision to suspend two of its players during the playoffs?

Radulov leads the Predators with six points in the post-season. Kostitsyn is tied for second on the team with four points, and has two of Nashville's six goals against Phoenix.

The team could have chosen to fine or even ignore the violations due to the importance of Game 3, but instead decided to take the step of keeping the players out of the lineup.

And that begs the question of how the call will affect the rest of the team.

Will the rest of the Predators be upset that they are going into a huge playoff game without two of their better players?

Or will they step up in the absence of the pair and play their best game of the series?

For his part, Predators general manager David Poile explained the club's decision on Tuesday.

"I've been a manager for 30 years, I care about each individual player, but I've never put an individual player above the team. In this case, the players violated a team rule," Poile explained to TSN and ESPN Insider Pierre LeBrun.

"It's disappointing any time a player has to miss a game because of violating a team rule, and it's even more significant at playoff time, but the decision between the coach and myself was very easy. We have to do the right thing. Their actions spoke volumes in terms of their lack of commitment and focus to give our a club a chance to win."

What do you think? Do you agree with Nashville's decision to suspend two of its players during the playoffs?

It's Your! Call.
