The Anaheim Ducks signed defenceman Tim Heed to a three-year, entry-level contract on Wednesday.

Last season, the 21-year-old Heed scored four goals and added 26 assists for 30 points in 47 games with Malmo of Sweden's Second Division.

He led all defencemen in assists and ranked second in scoring. Heed also had three points in six playoff games.
