Munz: Jets arrive in Pittsburgh to prepare for NHL Draft

PITTSBURGH - The Winnipeg Jets have arrived here in Pittsburgh for this weekend's NHL Draft.
General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff spent Wednesday morning with Evander Kane's agent discussing his future. Early indication is it was a positive start to negotiations.

In the afternoon, Cheveldayoff and his scouting staff continued meetings with players in preparation for Friday's first round. 

Head Coach Claude Noel and his coaching staff arrived on Wednesday. Noel spent 20 minutes with the media in the afternoon reflecting on the past season and talked about the excitement for next year already.
As of now, Winnipeg has six picks in the class of 2012:
Round 1 - 9th
Round 2 - 39th
Round 3 - 70th
Round 5 - 130th
Round 6 - 160th
Round 7 - 190th
Cheveldayoff will speak to the media early on Thursday afternoon. Also on the schedule is the Top Prospects media availabilty and luncheon.

TSN Radio 1290 Winnipeg will be broadcasting Hustler & Lawless live from the Omni William Penn Hotel from 4-6pm ct. The prospects will then attend the Major League Baseball game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Minnesota Twins.
Friday's first round of the NHL Draft starts at 6pm ct. TSN 1290's live coverage from the Consol Energy Center gets underway at 4pm ct.
