The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed defenceman Keith Aulie.

The team announced via twitter that it had come to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the 23-year-old blueliner.

Tampa acquired Aulie from the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2012 trade deadline in exchange for forward Carter Ashton.

Originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Aulie has played 76 career NHL games over parts of two seasons with the Lightning and Maple Leafs.
