Zach Parise informed the New Jersey Devils Sunday morning that he was testing the free agent market.
Parise's agent Wade Arnott added on Sunday afternoon that his client is narrowing down his choices to a small group of teams and will probably decide on Monday.
A number of teams are interested is signing the 27-year-old and it was confirmed that the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings and Carolina Hurricanes made offers to Parise.
Parise scored 31 goals and 38 assists in 82 games with the Devils in 2011-12, adding eight goals and seven assists in 24 playoff games in the team's run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Originally selected 17th overall by the Devils at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Parise has spent his entire seven-year NHL career with the Devils.
He has scored 194 goals and 216 assists in 502 career games.
