Benoit Pouliot has signed a deal to stay with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Lightning, who acquired Pouliot's rights from the Boston Bruins on June 23 – signed the 25-year-old forward to a one-year, $1.8 million contract on Sunday.
In 74 games with the Bruins in 2011-12, Pouliot scored 16 goals and added 16 assists. He would score one goal and one assist in seven playoff games.
Originally drafted fourth overall by the Minnesota Wild at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Pouliot has scored 53 goals and 51 assists in 257 career NHL games with the Bruins, Wild and the Montreal Canadiens.
