The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Hugh Jessiman to a one-year, two-way contract.

Jessiman split last season between the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters and the Abbotsford Heat scoring 27 goals and 17 assists in a combined 67 games.

Originally drafted in the first round (12th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers, Jessiman has appeared in two career National Hockey League games, both with the Florida Panthers during the 2010-11 campaign.
