Sullivan signs one-year, $1.85 million contract with Coyotes

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent forward Steve Sullivan worth $1.85 million plus bonuses.

The 37-year-old Sullivan played 79 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season, ranking sixth in team scoring with 17 goals and 31 assists.

Sullivan added two goals and four assists in six playoff games.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney confirmed the deal Wednesday.

"We are very pleased to welcome Steve to the Coyotes," Maloney said in a statement. "Steve is an intelligent player who adds skill to our lineup and will help improve our power play.

"He is a great addition to our roster."
