The Florida Panthers have signed centre Peter Mueller to a one-year contract worth $1.725 million on Thursday.
"Peter is a young and talented forward who is a former first-round draft choice," said Panthers general manager Dale Tallon. "He is a skilled player with an offensive upside who will help our power play."
Mueller was selected by Phoenix in the first round (8th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and has gone to play for both the Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche.
The 24-year-old appeared in only 32 games last season for the Colorado Avalanche, missing 41 games with a concussion. In limited action, Mueller scored seven goald and nine assists.
