Blake Geoffrion will be with the Montreal Canadiens for another season, as the forward signed a one-year contract with the club on Monday.

According to RDS, it's a two-way deal that will pay him $803,250 in the NHL.

Geoffrion, the great-grandson of Howie Morenz and grandson of Bernie Geoffrion, was acquired in a trade package from the Nashville Predators for defenceman Hal Gill last season.

The six-foot-one, 190-pound forward was drafted 56th overall by Nashville in 2006. Prior to the trade, he split two seasons between Milwaukee of the AHL and Nashville. He had two goals in 13 NHL games with Montreal.
