The Vancouver Canucks have signed their 2012 first round pick.

On Monday, the club announced that forward Brendan Gaunce had signed an entry-level deal.

Gaunce had 28 goals and 40 assists in 68 games with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League in the 2011-12 season.  He was also a member of Canada's World Junior team that picked up a bronze medal.  In that event he picked up four points in seven games.

Gaunce was the 26th overall selection in the 2012 Entry Draft.
