Contrary to reports, both Rick Nash and agent Joe Resnick tell TSN that Nash has no plans to play for HC Davos if there's a lockout.
Swiss sports network RTS Sports reported Thursday that team president Gaudenz Domenigs said Nash and forward Joe Thornton would likely play for HC Davos this fall if the NHL and NHL Players' Association can't finalize a collective bargaining agreement.
The NHL announced last week that the players would be locked out if a new deal can't be reached by Sept. 15.
Thornton, 33, played for Davos during the 2004-05 lockout, scoring 10 goals and 54 points in 40 games. Nash, acquired in a trade by the New York Rangers last month, also suited up for the Swiss-A club that season, leading the team in goals scored with 27.
