Senators sign Turris to five-year contract extension

Centre Kyle Turris will be a member of the Ottawa Senators for the foreseeable future.

On Wednesday, the club announced that the 23-year-old had signed a five-year, $17.5 million contract extension with the club.

The deal sees Turris signed through the 2017-18 season.

Turris established new career highs in goals (12), assists (17), points (29) last season.

He was the third overall pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.
