The New York Rangers have re-signed defenceman Steve Eminger to a one-year contract worth $750,000, the team announced Monday.
Eminger played in 42 games for the Rangers in 2011-12, recording two goals and five points to go along with 28 penalty minutes.
He missed 32 games due to various injuries, including 20 with a separated shoulder.
The Woodbridge, ON native completed his second season in New York after being acquired in a trade from the Anaheim Ducks.
The 6-foot-2, 203 pound blueliner made his NHL debut in 2002 for the Washington Capitals, who selected him 12th overall in the 2002 Draft.
