Andrei Kostitsyn may not be returning to the NHL if there's a season to be played.

Russian news website sports.ru reports that the Belarussian winger has agreed to a one-year contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Kostitsyn has 16 goals and 36 points in 72 games with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens last season.

The 27-year-old right winger had spent most of his seven-season NHL career with the Canadiens, scoring 99 goals and 111 assists in 379 games. The Habs drafted him 10th overall in the first round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

He enjoyed his best offensive season in 2007-08 when he set career highs with 26 goals and 27 assists, appearing in 78 games.

He became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, making $3.25 million last season.
