New York Rangers forward Rick Nash, who is currently playing for HC Davos of the Swiss League, left Friday's game early with a potential shoulder injury.

Nash was hit into the glass around the nine minute mark of the first period. After playing one more shift, Nash left the ice and did not return.

"Rick was taken out of the game for precautionary measures and will be re-evaluated over the next couple of days," said Nash's agent Joe Resnick.

HC Davos went on to lose the game 4-2 to HC Lugano.

This was Nash's third appearance with HC Davos this season. The star forward had three goals in two games, prior to today.

Nash, acquired in a trade by the New York Rangers over the summer, also suited up for the Swiss-A club during the 2004-05 lockout, leading the team in goals scored with 27.
