The Edmonton Oilers' trio of young guns are about to be reunited in Oklahoma City, as winger Taylor Hall is expected to join the Oilers' American Hockey League affiliate once he's deemed healthy to play.

"When (the Oilers doctor) sees fit that I'm ready to play, he has to clear me and that's when I would get sent down," Hall told The Edmonton Sun.

"We're also working on a couple other things where I would go down to Oklahoma City before I'm cleared and skate with the team there. I'm going to be down there sooner rather than later, hopefully."

Hall, who will join Oiler teammates Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle with the Barons, signed a $42 million, seven-year contract extension in August.

Hall finished second behind Eberle in scoring last season with 27 goals and 26 assists in 61 games. His season was cut short due to a shoulder injury that requires a six-month recovery.

Hall's numbers last season were slightly up from his rookie campaign when he had 22 goals and 20 assists in 65 games in another injury-shortened season.

Hall and Nugent-Hopkins were the first and second, respectively, of Edmonton's three straight first overall picks in the last three NHL drafts. In June, the Oilers chose Nail Yakupov, who signed an entry-level, three-year deal in July.
