Locked out New York Rangers' forward Rick Nash has left HC Davos of the Swiss League and is returning to New York after aggravating a groin injury.
According to the New York Post, Nash is heading home for "precautionary reasons" to be examined by Rangers' team doctors.
Nash was slowed by a similar injury late in November and missed three games with Davos.
In 17 games for Davos this season, the 28-year-old has 12 goals and 6 assists.
Nash was acquired in a deal from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the summer and has yet to suit up for New York.
