Jets' Stuart signs with ECHL's Florida Everblades

The ECHL's Florida Everblades can now boast having a pair of NHL defenceman in their line-up after they agreed to terms on a contract with Winnipeg Jets defenceman Mark Stuart on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Stuart joins Colorado Avalanche defenceman Ryan O'Byrne on the Everblades blueline.

Stuart appeared in 80 games for the Jets last season and had three goals and 14 assists. He has skated for Boston, Atlanta, and Winnipeg in seven NHL seasons.

Stuart is expected to be in Florida's lineup for a game on Wednesday against Cincinnati.
