Penguins D Letang inks deal with KHL's SKA Saint Petersburg

Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang has signed a contract with SKA Saint Petersburg of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League, according to the team's official website.

Letang will join Ilya Kovalchuk, Vladimir Tarasenko and Sergei Bobrovsky on the team's roster and is expected to dress for Sunday's game against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

The 25-year-old registered 10 goals and 32 assists with a plus- 21 rating through 51 games with the Penguins last season and was named to the All-Star team for the second consecutive season.

Drafted by the Penguins in the third round (62nd overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Letang also hoisted the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2008-09.
