Restricted free agent Michael Del Zotto agreed to terms on a two-year, $5.1 million deal with the New York Rangers and reported to training camp on Sunday.

Last season in 77 games, the defenceman scored 10 goals and added 31 assists, he also appeared in 20 playoff games and added 10 points.

During the NHL lockout, Del Zotto played nine games for Rapperswil-Jona in the Swiss A league.

The Rangers selected the 22-year old forward 20th overall in the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 2009-10 season.

The Rangers also agreed to terms with defenceman Matt Gilroy, who was an unrestricted free agent after spending last season with the Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning.
