The Winnipeg Jets (3-2-1) continue a three-game road trip tonight in Sunrise against the Florida Panthers (1-5-0).

TSN 1290's game day coverage continues with Rick Ralph hosting the TSN 1290 Roundtable.  Hustler & Lawless are on the air at 4pm CT.  Rick returns for the official Jets pregame show at 5:30pm CT.  Shane Hnidy joins me in the broadcast booth for the play-by-play at 6:30pm CT.

Defenceman Zach Redmond is expecting to play his first NHL game tonight.  The 24-year-old has been a healthy scratch for the first six games of the season.  Redmond is hoping his family can arrive from Michigan to see the game live.

Head coach Claude Noel told TSN 1290 Thursday morning that defenceman Dustin Byfuglien, who did not take part in the pregame skate, will be a game-time decision.

Evander Kane led the Jets last season with five goals and three assists in six games against the Panthers.

Despite allowing Montreal five power-plays Tuesday, the Jets remain tied with Calgary at 16 for the least amount of power plays against in the NHL.

After winning their first game of the season, 5-1 at home against Carolina, the Panthers have lost five consecutive games by a combined score of 23-5.

Panthers head coach Kevin Dineen confirmed Stephen Weiss and Ed Jovanovski will not play tonight due to injury.

Marcel Goc will make his regular-season debut.

Jose Theodore is expected to start in goal.

Kris Versteeg led the Panthers last season with seven goals and three assists in six games against the Jets.

Following tonight's game, the Jets fly to Tampa and play the Lightning Friday night (6:30pm CT on TSN 1290 and TSN Jets).
