The Winnipeg Jets are awaiting results of an MRI to determine the extent of damage to defenceman Tobias Enstrom's shoulder.
Enstrom left Winnipeg's 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins Friday early in the first period after being hit into the boards by Pascal Dupuis. Enstrom left the game holding his right arm and did not return. There was no penalty on the play.
Jets coach Claude Noel said after the game the injury will likely be more than “day-to-day.” The club is expected to get the MRI results on Sunday.
Enstrom is the Jets leading scorer with two goals and 13 points in 13 games so far this season.
