The Dallas Stars placed goaltender Kari Lehtonen on injured reserve Sunday.
Lehtonen suffered a groin injury in Friday's 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Vancouver Canucks, exiting with 6:27 left in the first period.
While the club doesn't consider the injury serious, they believe he'll be out of action for at least a week.
The 29-year-old has appeared in 12 games this season for Dallas, posting a 7-2-1 record with a .934 save percentage and a 2.12 goals-against-average. Lehtonen currently ranks third in the NHL in wins (7) and seventh in SV% (.934).
Cristopher Nilstorp of the the AHL's Texas Stars was recalled on Saturday.
