Defenceman Korbinian Holzer has signed a two-year contract extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The club made the announcement on Tuesday, for the deal that will see the 25-year-old in blue and white through the 2014-15 season.

The deal is worth $1.575-million and will see Holzer receive $725,000 in the first year and $850,000 in the second.

Holzer has played 16 games for the Leafs this season scoring two goals and registering 19 minutes in penalties.

The Leafs originally selected Holzer 111th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
