A Toronto man convicted of multiple sexual assaults in the late '90s faces a string of new sex-assault charges after police received information from new victims following another arrest last month.

Gordon Stuckless, who was convicted in the late 1990s of sexually abusing boys during the time he worked as an usher at Maple Leaf Gardens, arrived at Toronto's 52 Division Friday morning and was charged with nine counts indecent assault, five counts of gross indecency and buggery.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Stuckless's arrest comes a month after Toronto police charged the 63-year-old with six counts of indecent assault of a male, assault and possession of a weapon.

Police said the charges stem from allegations that Stuckless assaulted an 11-year-old and 13-year-old boy - now both grown men - in the 1970s. At the time, Stuckless was a teacher and a volunteer at a Toronto community centre and sports club.

In 1997, Stuckless was sentenced to two years less a day after he was convicted of sexually assaulting 24 boys at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens, during a 19-year period that ended in 1988.

His sentence was later increased to five years. He served two-thirds of the term before he was paroled in 2001.
