The struggling Philadelphia Flyers' quest to make up ground in the Eastern Conference just got tougher.

The club announced on Monday that forward Danny Briere is out indefinitely with a concussion.

Briere, who didn't play against the Penguins on Sunday, suffered the injury duing one of the team's practices during their five-day break from Mar. 19-23.

In 26 games this season, the 35-year-old has five goals and eight assists.

The Flyers currently sit in 13th place in the Eastern Conference with a 13-16-2 record, five points behind the eighth place New York Rangers.
