Penguins re-sign Dupuis to four-year, $15M deal

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Pascal Dupuis to a four year deal, $15 million deal.  He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 5th.

The 34-year-old Laval, Que. native has played six seasons with the Penguins. In 2012-13, Dupuis scored 20 goals and 18 assists in 48 games. He also added seven goals and 11 points in 15 games during the playoffs.

For his career, Dupuis has appeared in 798 NHL games, tallying 175 goals and 374 points. The 12-year veteran originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Wild in 2000 and has played with the Penguins, Wild, New York Rangers and Atlanta Thrashers.

He was traded from Atlanta to Pittsburgh in 2008 and won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2008-09.

Dupuis earned $1.5 million in 2012-13.
