Panthers sign RFA Matthias to two-year, $3.5M deal

The Florida Panthers have locked up restricted free agent Shawn Matthias to new deal.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the 25-year-old forward signed a two-year, $3.5 million deal.

Last season, Matthias, who will have a cap hit of $1.75M in the next two seasons, played in all 48 games with Panthers posting 14 goals and seven assists.

In 253 career regular season games, Matthias has 39 goals and 42 assists.
