A source has told TSN Hockey analyst Aaron Ward that defenceman Mark Fraser will file for salary arbitration with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 26-year-old blueliner is a restricted free agent after completing a one-year, $600,000 contract with Toronto this season.

Fraser had eight assists in 45 games for the Maple Leafs last season.

The Ottawa native was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 2005 Draft. In 143 NHL contests Fraser has three goals and 13 assists.
