The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Derek Roy to a one-year contract.

TSN Hockey analyst Aaron Ward reported earlier in the week that the deal is worth $4 million.

The 30-year-old Roy split last season between Dallas and Vancouver, posting four goals and 18 assists in 30 games with the Stars, while recording three goals and three assists in 12 games with the Canucks.

The Ottawa, Ontario native has appeared in nine NHL seasons including stints with Buffalo, Dallas and Vancouver.

Roy was originally drafted by Buffalo in the second round, 32nd overall, of the 2001 Entry Draft.
