The Philadelphia Flyers have signed veteran defenceman Hal Gill to a professional tryout contract and he will attend the team's training camp, set to begin on Thursday.
Gill appeared in 32 games with the Nashville Predators last season, where he went scoreless and averaged over 13 minutes of ice time per game.
The 6'7, 243 pound unrestricted free agent played 1,102 games in the NHL. He recording 36 goals and 148 assists with 960 penalty minutes in his 15-year career with the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens and Predators.
Gill is also a veteran of 110 Stanley Cup Playoff games, including winning a championship in 2009 with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
