The New York Islanders are bringing defenceman Radek Martinek and forward Justin Johnson to training camp on professional tryout contracts.

The 36-year-old Martinek has spent the majority of his NHL career with the Islanders. He had three goals in 13 games for New York last season and also played four games in the Czech league.

In 473 NHL games Martinek has 25 goals and 82 assists.

Johnson, 32, played the last three seasons with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs. He signed with the Islanders' top farm club, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, this summer. In 103 games over three seasons with Manchester, Johnson scored four goals and seven assists and had 392 penalty minutes.
