The New Jersey Devils have signed unrestricted free agent forward Damien Brunner to a two-year, $5 million contract.
The value of the contract was confirmed by Brunner's agent, Neil Sheehy.
Brunner has been attending the Devils' training camp on a professional tryout.
In two preseason games with the Devils, the Oberlunkhofen, Switzerland native has recorded two assists.
The 27-year-old Brunner spent last season, his first in the NHL, with the Detroit Red Wings where he tallied 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 games.
