The Colorado Avalanche will reportedly have to make do without leading scorer Matt Duchene for a while longer.

According to Adrian Dater of the Denver Post, the 22-year-old had a setback to his oblique injury while skating on Wednesday morning. The forward will not go on Colorado's two-game road trip that begins Thursday in Phoenix.

Dater wrote that Duchene's injury did not respond well and the Avalanche don't want to rush him back.

Duchene was hurt on Saturday in a game against the Florida Panthers. The team is already without Alex Tanguay, who is on injured reserve with a sprained knee.

Duchene has 12 goals and eight assists through 19 games this season.
